9Events is a smart event discovery and hosting app made for both users and event organizers. The idea came from a common problem, people miss out on great events because they don’t know they exist. Our goal was to connect the right events with the right audience.
Whether it's online or offline, 9Events ia designed to help people find, book, and join events easily, while giving organizers tools to manage and promote their events better.
The main objective was to create a platform where users can discover relevant events without feeling lost or overwhelmed. We wanted the experience to feel personal, fast, and useful. For organizers, the aim was to offer simple tools that make event creation, ticketing, and promotion easy even for non-tech-savvy users.
Our design goal was to reduce friction, support clear navigation, and connect both audiences through a shared space that encourages engagement and discovery.
To design the right solutions, we used empathy mapping, user journey mapping, and task flows. We built low-fidelity wireframes and tested them through quick-feedback sessions. We also applied card sorting to organize filters and categories. Feedback loops were short and continuous, allowing us to test ideas early and often.
Clickable Figma prototypes helped validate layouts. Our visual hierarchy focused on simplicity with clear CTAs, easy browsing, and minimal steps per task.

Users often miss events they would enjoy because discovery feels scattered, not personalized, and hard to trust. There’s no clear way to track what they've joined, saved, or missed. For event organizers, reaching the right audience and understanding event performance is tough without analytics.
Most platforms also lack loyalty systems or reward programs to retain attendees. Without tools to measure or incentivize engagement, it’s difficult for businesses to grow or know what’s working.
We created a more personalized and trackable experience. Users can now save favorites, view all their past and upcoming events, and access an archive. We added a “My Events” section to help them manage their journey easily.
For entry, QR scanning replaced traditional RSVP, making check-in faster. Premium users can unlock exclusive events for a small extra fee. For organizers, we added a live dashboard with analytics, insights, and reward systems to help them retain and grow their audience.
The most helpful feature turned out to be “Saved for Later”. During user testing, participants consistently mentioned it felt like a personal bucket list a way to collect events they weren’t ready to join yet but didn’t want to forget. It gave users a sense of control and excitement. This simple feature added emotional value and became a core part of how users planned their event experiences.
The 9Events logo features a bold, black “9” inside a soft neon green square shaped almost like a location pin or chat bubble, symbolizing where things happen and conversations begin. The number 9 doubles as a visual metaphor: it feels like a marker, a countdown, or a moment before action.

We focused on how 9Events visually lives on different platforms from story templates to event banners. Every design followed a clear rhythm that feels sharp and urban.
We kept the brand bold yet accessible. The neon green brings energy and visibility, while black adds contrast and focus. Our type choice, Plus Jakarta Sans, which is modern and clean deal for quick reads and a digital-first experience.
